Nano-D and Micro-D Connectors

A full range of Micro-D Connectors to MIL-DTL-83513 and Nano-D Connectors to MIL-DTL-32139 manufactured by Axon’ Cable & Interconnect.

In addition to the range of QPL listed MIL-DTL-83513 Micro-D connectors, Axon’ also offers a range of micro circular, hermetic, non-magnetic, space approved microstrip connectors and combination layouts with signal, power and RF. Also available are a range of accessories including jacking hardware, backshells and band straps.

Micro-D / MIL-DTL-83513 connectors

A complete range of rectangular Micro D connectors to MIL-DTL-83513. These small and robust connectors are designed to operate in harsh environments and utilise the innovative, high reliability twist pin contact. The Micro-D connector system meets all high-performance requirements including robustness, durability, low contact resistance, high current, dielectric strength, vibration and shock resistance.

In addition to the range of QPL listed MIL-DTL-83513 Micro-D connectors, Axon’ also offers Micro-D with PCB tails and cable assemblies in both metal and plastic bodied versions.

All ranges meet the requirements of the MIL standard, and all use the highly reliable twist pin contact technology. This ensures that the system will meet the most severe environmental requirements. RoHS compliant product is available with a Black Zinc Nickel plating finish.

In addition to its range of micro-d connectors, Axon’ Cable has developed miniature connectors equipped with a user-friendly latching system which gives greater flexibility to customers. A new range of Micro-D products equipped with the D-Click® fast latching system allows customers to use the Micro-D technology in space-constrained systems where access to the connectors is difficult.

Nano-D / MIL-DTL-32139

Nano-D connectors and jumpers use highly reliable Twist Pin contact technology. They are ideally suited for applications, such as, aeronautics, space, military, medical and off-shore, where reliability, space or weight saving are a requirement.

Backshells and connector accessories

Backshells and connector accessories

A large range of accessories are available that contribute to the mechanical protection and EMC/RFI performance of the connector or cable assemblies. Accessories designs include backshells for shield braids, shield termination bands and other custom designed systems.

Also available are a large range of removable jackscrews, non-removable jackscrews or panel-mount hardware allowing the customer to build their system to suit their requirements.

Axon micro circular connector

Circular Micro D connectors

The Micro circular connector range uses feature and benefits from the Micro-D ranges’ and features easy-to-use connect and disconnect functionality. These circular Micro l connectors meet the requirements of the most demanding applications and harsh environments.

Military equipment, research centres, on-board electronics are just a few examples. Despite their high pin density, small size and lightweight bodies, and offer similar performances to their rectangular micro-D cousins.

Axon circular data bus connector

MIL-STD-1553 Circular Data Bus Connectors

The ACB1 range of circular Data Bus connectors, with crimp contacts for cables assemblies are designed and manufactured to MIL-STD-1553. These triaxial connectors are suitable for any type of AWG24 shielded twisted pair cables.

A single crimping tool M22520/5-01 with an axon’ die is required to assemble the connector. Available in 3 shell styles, Bulkhead Jack, Plug and Jack with either Bayonet or Threaded coupling mechanisms.
